Florida non-profit hospital is first to earn integrated care certification

The Joint Commission has awarded its first Integrated Care Certification to Titusville, Florida's Parrish Medical Center. The public, 210-bed non-profit hospital was selected for its "dedication to improving patient outcomes with better coordinated care," Mark Pelletier, R.N., the Joint Commission's chief operating officer for accreditation and certification operations, said in a statement. The certification recognizes providers for advancement in integration of information-sharing and care transitions as a patient moves from hospital to outpatient care, with an overall goal of full engagement between patients and providers across the care continuum.
