and the Jefferson School of Population Health will host a symposium focused on how hospitals can integrate population health into their care delivery models. The event will be held April 14-15 in Atlanta and is the second in a series of population health symposia that are part of VHA’s agreement with the Jefferson School of Population Health, to jointly create professional development programs on population health, governance and other related health care transformation topics.

“As the payment structure for health care providers shifts to a value-based model, the organizations that will thrive will be those able to simultaneously deliver high quality, low cost care while improving the overall health of the population they serve,” said Dr. Keith Kosel, vice president, VHA and executive director, VHA’s Center for Applied Healthcare Studies. “This symposium is designed to give health system leaders the opportunity to interact with population health thought leaders and gain insights into successful population health initiatives.”

The cost to attend is $595 for VHA members and Jefferson School of Population Health Grandon Society members. The cost for all other participants is $995. Early bird registration and hotel discounts are available through March 30.
